Jim Ansaldo, PhD, is a speaker, trainer, and coach with decades of experience in curriculum design, project management, and professional learning facilitation. Jim’s areas of expertise include applied improvisation, coaching and consultation, culturally sustaining pedagogies, online learning, and Universal Design for Learning. Jim is excited to bring his passion and skill to the role of General Manager at Joy2Learn.

For 25 years, Jim worked as a Research Scholar at the Center on Education and Lifelong Learning, Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Indiana University Bloomington.  Jim is a founder and co-director of Camp Yes And, an improv-based professional learning intensive for educators who support teens on the autism spectrum (https://www.campyesand.org/). For this work, Jim was honored with a 2017 Certificate of Commendation Award by the Indiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Through his company, Jim Ansaldo Playful Solutions (https://www.jimansaldo.com/), Jim continues to deliver proven strategies that are based in research and the experiences of professionals working on the ground, using improv-based and experiential methods to keep participants engaged in the hard work of creating sustainable change.
